Zenith presents a photographic exhibition by The Police

December 2007

Zenith Swiss watch manufacture presents “I’ll be watching you: Inside the police 1980-1983”. A photographic exhibition by Andy Summers of The Police.

What happens when you combine the vibrant photographic art of one of the most legendary rock guitarists in history with an esteemed, ultra-prestigious, yet somewhat edgy Swiss watch company to host an event at the hip NYC Milk studios? A night to remember! Andy Summers of The Police along with Zenith Swiss Watch Manufacture were the catalysts for one of the most exciting, eclectic and interesting evenings in New York City recently.

During an invitation-only VIP reception, fans, artists, models, musicians and friends of Summers and Zenith reveled in his behind the scenes series of candid and striking black and white photos from the early days of The Police. Exclusive of this exhibition is a piece that Andy Summers shot specifically for Zenith of its Defy Classic Open watch in which he creatively used a guitar as a prop. A highlight of the evening occurred when Paul Ziff, President, Zenith North America, presented Mr. Summers with a Zenith watch.

“As an acclaimed professional artist in two distinct areas, Andy Summers embodies the spirit of Zenith. That he is incredibly talented, versatile and a true Renaissance man is abundantly obvious. That he exudes a style and manner that is both warm and gracious is his gift. We are very proud to have Mr. Summers wearing a Zenith timepiece” said Paul Ziff.
