At the final round in the skiing world cup, held in Crans Montana, Switzerland, over the weekend, Corum presented a new version of its Admiral’s Cup model dedicated to brand ambassador Didier Cuche, who won the Super-G in Crans-Montana.

Cuche was delighted when presented with the watch, saying, “Given that I have fought over hundredths of a second my whole career, being given a watch that has been dedicated to me personally is a great symbol which marks the passing on to a new stage in my life, a new era. It will also carry within it the memory of my race in Crans-Montana and thereby represent a magnificent reward for today’s result.”

The watch dedicated to Cuche is a limited-edition Admiral’s Cup 44 Chrono Centro Didier Cuche. It has a 44mm-diameter case in vulcanised rubber with orange accents on the dial (available either in black or anthracite) that contrast with the all-black look of the case. The ski champion’s silhoutte is transferred on to the dial in a contrasting matt and polished effect.

This limited edition model is powered by the COSC-certified mechanical self-winding CO960 movement, who distinguishing feature is that the minute hand for the chronograph is also mounted on the same axis as the hour and minute hands. The movement is visible through a greyed sapphire crystal exhibition back that has the same silhouette of Didier Cuche metallised on to it. The watch is fitted with a black vulcanised rubber strap and water resistant to 100 metres. It is available as a limited edition of 100 pieces.
