With the torch relay for the London 2012 Olympic Games now under way and tickets going on general sale today, all eyes are now starting to focus on the “greatest show on earth” in London this summer. As he prepares to defend his Olympic titles, Usain Bolt has just taken delivery of his own personal Hublot King Power watch.
“Lightning” Bolt, who opened his season with an impressive time of 9.82 seconds on home soil at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, will be defending his Olympic titles over 100, 200 and 4x100 metres in London this summer.

The watch that will be helping him with his preparations features a 48mm micro-blasted ceramic case with signature touches that set it apart as Usain Bolt’s personal timepiece. The 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock is in green as a nod to one of the colours in the Jamaican flag, while the unmistakable silhouette of Usain Bolt’s famous pose is used as the background for the continuous seconds hand at 9 o’clock.
As a reminder of his objectives for later this year, the outer flange bearing the minute markers has a 2N gold powder coating and the strap is made from the exact same gold-coloured synthetic leather as his lucky running shoes.

But with victory over the 100 metres sprint measured in thousandths of a second, it remains to be seen whether Usain Bolt will wear this rather bulky timepiece as he dashes around athletics tracks across the world.
