Held in the presence of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ueli Maurer, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève on Friday November 15th, the 13th Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) presented 15 different awards including the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” (Golden Hand), which was awarded to Girard-Perregaux for the Constant Escapement L.M. watch.
“Winning the Aiguille d’Or tonight is a genuine emotion that will stay with me deeply. I owe this amazing consecration to the work, passion and love of my team for the art of watchmaking,” said Mr. Michele Sofisti, Girard-Perregaux CEO.
This year’s expanded jury brought together watch experts, collectors and authoritative figures in their respective fields such as designer Philippe Starck, Indian jeweller Viren Baghat and, architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte.

The Public Prize, which was chosen by votes cast both on the Internet and during the itinerant exhibitions, was awarded to the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar.
