he in-house movement of the Vingt-8 was designed, built, fabricated, finished and assembled in its entirety in the Voutilainen workshops. The design and philosophy of the movement combines respect for longevity and precision with classical watchmaking tradition.

The elegant silver dial of the Voutilainen 28Sport is manufactured in-house using a “sandwich” type construction technique. Superluminova is used on the base of the dial, as well as around the hour markers and the onyx central section. This model is made in a limited series of 8 watches in a titanium case.

Since founding the company in 2002, Kari Voutilainen has developed his workshop capacity. Today, movements and all the related components are manufactured in-house. Since 2014, dials are produced entirely inhouse by Comblémine SA, and guillochage is executed by hand using century-old rose engine lathes. Since 2018, watch cases have been manufactured in-house by Voutilainen and Cattin'>Cattin SA. Thanks to this independence, Kari Voutilainen can create and produce unique bespoke pieces. The number of watches remains extremely limited, due to the handcrafting involved, and the very high technical and aesthetic standards employed.
