Mr Jérôme de Witt, a descendant of Napoleon and King Leopold I of Belgium, founded his eponymous watch brand in 2004, bringing an aristocratic and imperial flair to the world of high-end watchmaking. The luxury in a DeWitt timepiece is its quality, each watch being assembled from start to finish by the same watchmaker. “Imperial columns” on the case and bezels of collections such as the Twenty-8-Eight and the Academia reinforce the aristocratic theme. Since 2008, the DeWitt manufacture has been located in Meyrin-Satigny, Geneva, where everything from design to production and quality control is done in-house.
