Eberhard & Co. often makes the watchmaking news, but more often than not it’s for its men’s watches. That’s not necessarily unusual, since men represent a disproportionate segment of the consumer base for watches.
But what is refreshing to see is a woman, namely Barbara Monti CEO of Eberhard & Co., at the helm of a watch brand, especially in an industry which is largely orientated towards men.

Still, ladies watches are a growing market segment, and Eberhard & Co. is already in on the action. As part of the brand’s emphasis on the ladies, the Gilda is a fine example of its focus on the subtleties.
The Gilda is a quintessential ladies’ watch, featuring soft and elegant curves. The latest iteration of the model is offered with a new gleaming silver coloured leather strap, featuring special finishing with an attractive weave.

What makes the watch even more feminine is the oversized length of the strap. That doesn’t mean that the watch wears loose by any means, rather the straps delicately encircles the wrist.
The new strap is a good match for a case which retains its oval, stainless steel shape and features clean-cut minimalist lines. It boasts a white dial in mother-of-pearl, displaying roman numerals at 5 and 11 o’clock - either plain or set in diamonds - that add a nice asymmetric touch.

On the inside we have a quartz movement, and on the outside it a patented spherical and domed sapphire glass. The back of the watch is engraved with a twisted floral motif and secured by 4 concealed screws.
The new strap, which can be matched with a range of dials from the Gilda Collection, is now available upon request.
