Looking for a perfect watch for the summer? Look no further than Nomos, whose two new releases in the form of the Ahoi neomatik and Club neomatik, offer excellent versatile options.

Found within the German watchmaker’s Aqua series – which has already made a splash (excuse the pun) – the two new watches will easily see you through summer, and beyond.

Nomos Ahoi neomatik “white siren”

That’s because with their design, these sophisticated yet fun watches should be at ease being warm almost anywhere.

The two new timepieces are based on the brand’s popular Club and Ahoi models. They feature robust stainless steel cases and sapphire crystals, water-resistant to 200 meters, which is of course important when spending your summer days by the pool or seaside.

As ever from the modernist German watchmaker, both models are elegant and slender. Their dials are pared down, a signature from Nomos, sporting pure while dials in a clean while colour termed “siren white”.

Besides their excellent design and proportions, the watches are nevertheless full of character. That’s helped by the blue hands contrasted by red minute markers, which vary in their boldness between the two models.

Thanks to glowing superluminova, the watches also tell the time easily when the sun sets after those long summer days.

Both models are powered by the neomatik caliber DUW 3001, which promises up to 43 hours of power reserve. The automatic caliber is quite slender, measuring in at only 3.2mm in height, and also demonstrates efficient winding capacity.

The Ahoi neomatik siren white model is available in a classic size of 36mm, while the Club neomatik siren white model is only a fraction larger at 37mm in diameter. In other words, both watches play as unisex models.

To match their sporty and summery intentions, the siren white models are paired with tailor-made textile straps in light gray. Not only do the French-made straps look smart, but they are also functional and are meant to dry quickly when wet.

The great part is that if those straps are swapped with any classic leather option, the watches instantly become excellent companions all year round, whatever the occasion.
