rasport, founded in 1946, specialises in the development and manufacture of watch straps and leather goods. The group currently operates five factories and employs over 1,700 people spread over six countries.
As part of a vertical integration strategy, in 2010 the group acquired a centre for machining and development, which had been founded in 1988 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This acquisition made it possible to develop products and launch small series with higher reactivity and efficiency. This unit eventually became the group’s research and development centre.
In 2021, the group decided to expand its activity in a more industrial direction, and invested in a new factory in Portugal: Brad-Tech. The new plant, which has been operational since September 2022, aims to be active in different areas connected with the production of machined parts – inserts and interchangeable systems for watch straps, metal bracelet links, buckles – and tools related to the world of leather goods and watch straps.
The expertise also extends to DLP 3D printing and automatic part termination. The group has invested in a diversified machine park, with state-of-the-art equipment that meets the most stringent requirements.
