The Autark model embodies this quest for independence: the model’s name means ‘independence’ and ‘self-sufficiency’ in German. As part of its roadmap, Horage introduced the revolutionary Autark Tourbillon last year, while this year it is introducing the Autark K2 Small Seconds.

The dial of the Autark Tourbillon is characterised by a sporty and fascinating depth. At 6 o’clock, the 0.29-gram titanium flying tourbillon swirls and captivates with a full rotation every 60 seconds. The yellow gold finish of the tourbillon cage cut-out creates a visual separation that complements the gold indexes filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova®.

The Autark Tourbillon combines two of Horage’s proprietary movements, the K2 micro-rotor and the K-TOU titanium flying tourbillon, to present the world with the most accessible timepiece in its category. This timepiece is the result of several years of major milestones, such as achieving a power reserve of more than 120 hours in the Tourbillon 1, water resistance to 200 metres and the development of an entirely new micro-adjustment clasp for their HMAC clasp.

With the launch of the Autark Tourbillon, Horage was in fact responding to regular requests from its community to marry the brand’s most sought-after calibres, the K2 micro-rotor and the K-TOU tourbillon. The result is the K-TMR calibre, which at 3.6 mm is not only slim but also powerful, with a power reserve of 72 hours. With advanced gear geometries, a fully non-magnetic silicon escapement and optimised micro-rotor weight, the K-TMR will be one of the most efficient, if not the most efficient, micro-rotor tourbillon calibres on the market.
