ince its inception in 2016, the TAG Heuer Carrera Extreme Sport series has delighted watch aficionados and TAG Heuer fans with its daring approach to racing and performance. This year’s latest iteration aims to further deepen the connection with its racing DNA. The new assortment comprises of four chronographs and two chronograph tourbillons.
- The launch includes four distinct chronograph models, each representing a unique blend of colour and material innovation, offering a glimpse into the intricate inner workings of the TH20-00 calibre. It also includes an all-black tourbillon, as well as a luxurious gold version, both 44mm in diameter. These are powered by the advanced TH20-09 in-house calibre, an evolution of the Heuer 02, featuring a vertical clutch, column wheel and a new shield-shaped rotor.
The case construction, incorporating one container and two barrels on the side, enables a seamless blend of materials. This innovative approach improves durability and underscores TAG Heuer’s commitment to pushing boundaries in watchmaking. On the side, a hollowed structure with a sandblasted finish imparts a dynamic, yet sophisticated aesthetic – echoing the adrenaline-fueled spirit of motorsport.
Central to the new timepieces is the distinctive skeleton dial, ingeniously reimagined for better legibility. The intricate pattern, now featuring bold black lines, ensures effortless readability while concealing subtle elements like a shield anchored at its center, a subtle nod to the brand’s iconic logo. This configuration invites enthusiasts to delve deeper into its mechanical allure, echoing the universe of cars.
