hese chronographs are the result of an in-depth “journey through time” undertaken by Eberhard & Co., involving intensive research and study. The exploration focused on original chronographs from the 1930s and beyond, preserved in the company museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
The timepieces are powered by two exclusive calibres developed in collaboration with Manufacture AMT: the EB 280 for ref. 31081 and the EB 380 for ref. 31082. These movements are characterised by exceptional technical and aesthetic refinement, incorporating a column wheel and a flyback complication.
- From an aesthetic perspective, the Chronographe 1887 reflects the unmistakable lines of historical Eberhard & Co. chronographs. This is evident in distinctive details such as the vintage-style water-resistant steel crown and coaxial pusher personalised with the letter “E,” the elegantly curved steel case, and the unique design details of the hands on each counter.
The structure of the movements underwent sophisticated customisation, resulting in impressive technical and visual achievements, visible through the vitré caseback. A particularly noteworthy innovation is the specially designed lever that relocates the chronograph reset button coaxially with the crown.
The dials are exceptionally refined, featuring a spiral tachymeter scale (in the centre) and a telemetric scale. The combinations of colours, intricate details, finishes, and fine workmanship echo the historical models, giving the chronographs a unique charm.
