POWER BREAKER. Its name says it all. Built in de Grisogono’s own Swiss workshops, the latest and sleekest chronograph combines technical virtuosity, streamlined design and impeccable finish to create a powerful and memorable signature piece. Founder and owner of the de Grisogono jewellery and watch house in Geneva, Fawaz Gruosi wanted it precisely that way – genetically derived from Formula One racing, destined to make history. Designed by Fawaz Gruosi, the POWER BREAKER chronograph’s complex, state-of-the-art case stands as a milestone in contemporary horological design.

F1 inspired
Inspired by the world of F1 racing, the POWER BREAKER’s case boasts a rare four-piece construction – bezel, frame, back and crown guards – all designed in motor racing style. An unusual extension of the case back serving as crown guard, the crown itself bearing the de Grisogono emblem, is matched by that of the bezel, recalling the streamlined silhouette of an F1 racing car. The design is further accentuated by chronograph pushpieces extending along the entire case side. Technical virtuosity naturally matches stunning looks. For total comfort on the wrist, the 54 mm by 43 mm by 15-mm case is cambered in the 12 – 6 o’clock axis. Made of steel, black PVD steel, white gold, rose gold or BROWNY BROWN GOLD , a type of rose gold exclusive to de Grisogono, this design is water-resistant to 30 metres and available in a wide range of combinations: all steel or bezel and crown protector in steel, on a middle part in black PVD steel, or all black PVD steel; all rose gold or bezel and crown protector in rose gold on a middle part in BROWNY BROWN GOLD, or entirely in BROWNY BROWN GOLD. All the gold versions are also available set with diamonds or precious stones. The first 500 watches are signed by Flavio Briatore, the Renault F1 Team Manager.
The POWER BREAKER watch emphasizes its sport-spirited character with a special rubber racing strap bearing the official inscriptions ‘F1 Formula 1’ and ‘Power Breaker’. It is available in black, red, blue, yellow or brown and equipped with an adjustable deployment clasp actioned by twin pushpieces.

The dial
Designed and built as a salute to F1 racing, the POWER BREAKER’s two-level dial features further reminders of the sport. Superposed on the main dial plate is the silhouette of an F1 racing wheel, 0.70 mm thick, punctuated by six screw heads, adding depth and legibility to the dial. The racing-car design is further accentuated by red trim along the wheel’s bevelled edge, the gearbox figures 2, 3 and 4 inscribed between 2 and 4 o’clock and the 30-minute and 12-hour cockpit-style totalizers at 9 and 6 o’clock respectively.
A pair of broad minute and hour hands with red lacquered inlays adds a further touch of excitement to the crisply legible dial of a sporty timepiece that has earned an undisputed pole position in the world of time.
