Titoni introduces the Airliner Collection

May 2007

Grenchen-based Titoni is introducing a new collection this year - the Airliner. Featuring lacquered dials and sturdy construction, all with mechanical movements, the Airliner is a continuation of the Swiss-made reliability reputation that Titoni has crafted over nearly a century of watchmaking history.

The three hand watch includes a unique way of displaying the day of the week and the date. The day of the month is shown at 12 o’clock, while the days of the week display is at 6 o’clock. To go along with the Asian custom of expressing the day of the week in numbers, these have been added above the names of the week days, with the exception of Sunday, where the number seven is replaced by the brand-emblem stylized five-petal flower.
Clear and easy to read, the Airliner is a robust, rugged watch, reinforced by the prominent screws on the bezel. With sapphire crystals front and back, the nicely finished automatic movement is revealed, with the oscillating weight stamped with the inscription ‘Titoni of Switzerland’. All models in the Airliner collection are water-resistant to a depth of 50 metres and come with either a black rubber strap or solid steel bracelet, complete with a folding clasp.
