It has taken the company three years of development work to design and produce the 4.8mm thick Calibre 1290P with its 407 individual components, which helps to make this new model the world’s thinnest minute-repeater wristwatch. It has a 48mm case in 18-carat pink gold that comprises 69 individual elements and, in the absence of a dial, 60 rays engraved on the movement serve as the minute markers. The striking mechanism chimes the time at a volume of 64 decibels—just one decibel less than the level of an average conversation.
