“L.U.C Pro One” - A look that spells adventure

June 2004

A favourite among those with a taste for spills and thrills, the latest model in the collection captures attention through the resolutely sporting and masculine design of its steel case. As one might expect from the watch's name, underwater prowess is built into the “Pro One”. The large-diameter, solid steel case with its screwed in case back and crown, is designed to withstand deep-water pressure.
Its unidirectional rotating bezel is a perfect match for its dial equipped with luminescent hands and hour-markers that are highly readable both at night-time and under water. As befits a diver's watch, “L.U.C Pro One” has a screw-locked case-back ensuring perfect water-resistance to depths of 300 metres. Its matt and polished surface is stamped in the centre with a rose compass and the four compass points in polished relief.

The sportsman with an interest in fine watch making will be pleased to know that the timepiece houses the calibre “L.U.C 4.96” with bridges and bars adorned with “Côtes de Genève” and with the famous twin stacked mainspring barrels (L.U.C “Twin”). This unique configuration was invented by Chopard to provide a superior guarantee of the watch's constant rate. The calibre has an exceptionally long power reserve of approximately sixty-five hours and is as beautiful as it is accurate. The rotor is rhodium-plated and the engraving “Pro One” on the movement is black.
Finally, for safety reasons, the strap in natural rubber is fastened with a screwed bar and not with a spring. However, the “Pro One” may also be worn with a strap in hand-stitched crocodile leather or a steel bracelet. This model is available with a silvered, blue or black dial.
This watch is an ideal guide for all people being keen of water sports or for everybody who is looking for the adventure.
