The Spanish edition of the celebrated Timeless Style Awards was presented for the first time in San Sebastián at this A-class festival’s prestigious global award ceremony. Manuel Gomez Pereira, director of the film, carried away the award for Conti’s acclaimed work on the movie REINAS, as Carlos Conti could not do it personally. This dynamic costume designer shared the award press conference with other festival prize winners including the New Directors award, the New Screenwriters, Horizontes, Audience, Youth awards, and the Golden Shell for best film: SOMETHING LIKE HAPPINESS by Bohdan Sláma.







Hamilton, partner of the 53rd Donostia-San-Sebastian International Film Festival, has a long and successful screen career to its credit – Hamilton timepieces have featured in over 300 Hollywood movies. In order to integrate local flavor and knowledge into the Spanish edition of the Timeless Style Awards, Hamilton turned to the readers of the two leading Spanish movie magazines, Fotogramas and Cinemania, who voted for their favourite designers in special polls.

Carlos Conti will now go to Hollywood to compete in the international Timeless Style Awards on November 9th in Los Angeles. The Timeless Style Awards were introduced by Hamilton in 2003 to honor the work of leading screen costume designers. These awards recognize the ability and talent of stylists and costume designers to capture the right look for movie characters, right down to the very last detail.
