Emporio Armani introduces its first full collection of mechanical watches designed by Giorgio Armani. An industry first in the fashion-watch category, the Emporio Armani Meccanico Collection offers a range of fourteen new styles developed along two stainless steel case platforms – a rectangular tank-shaped case and a classic round case. Each watch features one of four technical complications or movements and offers a level of watch-making complexity traditionally reserved for the high-end segment of the market. All watches are automatic and feature exhibition casebacks. The launch of this new category, due to arrive in stores by September 2006, will have a relatively limited distribution in Emporio Armani boutiques and select watch-specialty shops and department stores worldwide.
