The Millenary MC12 Tourbillon and chronograph was in the spotlight this month in Modena. On this occasion, Audemars Piguet had the pleasure of inviting the international press to Maserati headquarters and of presenting one of their most daring timepieces at the heart brand.
The Millenary MC12 Tourbillon and chronograph is indeed resolutely inspired by the automobile world. During the press conference, Georges-Henri Meylan (CEO), Michel Faure (Sales and Marketing Director) and Octavio Garcia (Artistic Director) revelled in explaining the many aspects reminiscent of the MC 12 racing car – whether in terms of the design which is reminiscent of the Maserati engine, or the high-tech materials used such as eloxed aluminium for the bridges and ultra-light carbon for the movement mainplate. Takahiro Hamaguchi of Audemars Piguet (Renaud et Papi) was also on hand to provide a more technical perspective on this exceptional model, produced in a limited edition of 150.
During the factory visit, guests were able to admire the admirable know-how and meticulous workmanship involved in making cars bearing the legendary trident. This tour, as well as the warm welcome provided by Maserati, enabled them to sense the dynamism of a partnership based on the shared pursuit of excellence.
Moreover, visitors naturally could not leave Italy without experiencing a personal adrenalin rush: their talents as drivers were tested in a complete driving lesson at the wheel of Quattroporte, Coupé and GrandSport models on the magnificent Varano De’Melegari racing track.
