Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs has signed a master franchise agreement to open stores in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Under the agreement, former Shell Oil Executive Shane Cooney, based in Dublin, Ireland, will be responsible for developing and promoting the Fast-Fix franchise, as well as overseeing leasing the locations and finding other franchisees.

The first shops will open in Ireland with more stores throughout the United Kingdom planned. The company also plans to open franchises in Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America.
Fast-Fix operates more than 150 franchised locations in shopping malls throughout the United States and Canada. The stores specialize in “while-you-shop” repairs, including ring sizing, chain replacement, remounting, engraving, eyeglass repair and watch-battery replacement. The company saw more than $50 million in sales in 2006 and plans to open more than 15 franchised locations annually.
