July 2008

Manfredi Jewels recently celebrated both its grand reopening and 20 years of successful business in a lavish evening event . The store, now one of the largest luxury jewelry and watch retailers in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA, underwent a massive redesign expanding the store from 930 to 3,300 square-feet.

Over two hundred guests attended Manfredi Jewels grand reopening celebration to not only celebrate the store’s twenty years of successful business, but to also witness the store’s expansive redesign. The store, now one of the largest luxury jewelry and watch retailers in Greenwich, Conn., underwent a massive redesign expanding the store from 930 to 3,300 square-feet.

The entire evening’s theme was about living luxuriously. With the latest Lamborginis parked out front, guests entered the store on a red carpet and were welcomed by Chopard models adorned in stunning diamond jewelry. The night included a spectacular Opera performance by Rob Weintraub accompanied on the piano by Lin Li.

The real “wow factor” of the night; however, was the store’s new space that is elegant yet contemporary, mirroring a European-style salon, with an elliptical layout featuring “walls of watches” and an “island of jewelry.” All of the cases in the store are handmade and custom designed in glass and rosewood. The store also houses a workshop staffed by watchmakers and jewelers who will work on pieces while customers are present creating an interactive and educational experience for guests. The store even features a secondary lounge space equipped with plush seating where guests can enjoy a cappuccino.

During the evening to help commemorate the 20th anniversary, the store also unveiled a limited edition watch produced by Glashütte Original. The watch is a Senator Meissen in palladium alloy white gold with a hand wound mechanical movement. The watch features a blue crocodile strap, an onion shaped crown and a Meissen porcelain dial with hand painted Arabic numerals. This one of a kind timepiece has the Manfredi name engraved directly on the back, each watch is also hand numbered on the dial and engraved on the case back. This exclusive Manfredi timepiece retails for approximately $29,500.00 and only twenty examples will be produced.
