For the first time, Delma Watch Ltd. presents a timekeeping instrument that embodies all forms and materials ever used by the Lengnau-based Swiss company. Despite its rugged looks and multilayered construction, the chronograph has a surprisingly slim silhouette, underscored by the rounded flanks of the case.
So far, Delma Watch Ltd. has reflected a preference for classic shapes, but with its Midland line, Delma now showcases a subtly designed chronograph that deliberately unites all of its characteristic legacy forms and materials.
The prominent timepiece is embedded in a steel case with a black PVD-coated steel plate which are screwed together, setting the stage for the notched rotating bezel. The intelligently configured and conveniently legible carbon dial has separate counters for minutes, seconds, and tenths of a second, a tachymeter scale, and a date display. A non-reflecting scratch-resistant sapphire- crystal glass protects the Swiss quartz chronograph movement inside.
Unquestionably, the charisma of this compact watch is based on the eclectic mix of materials and geometric forms. The interplay of steel with black PVD coatings extends along the intricate bracelet and comes to a point on the crown. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters and comes in steel or rose-gold plating.
