Scatola del Tempo, the Italian company and creator of rotating watch holders, has recognized actor Robert De Niro for his long and successful career.

De Niro received the award in Taormina from Silvia Bizio, the US Consultant of Taormina Film Festival.

In Taormina De Niro won the renowned Taormina Arte Award, the festival’s top award for achievement in the cinema industry, given to outstanding members of the film community.

De Niro was one of five celebrities to receive the 2010 award from Taormina Film Fest, including Italian director Marco Bellocchio and British actor Colin Firth. An extraordinary icon of Hollywood, Robert De Niro, considered one of the greatest actors of his time, was born in New York City in 1943. Trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the American Workshop, he received an Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in The Godfather, Part II in 1974 and won the Best actor Award in 1980 for Raging Bull (1980).

During his long career De Niro received Academy Award nominations for best actor in Taxi Driver (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and Cape Fear (1991).
