The World Watch and Jewellery Show, BASELWORLD, is being staged from March 24-31, 2011 in Basel, and Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter will be opening the show. The presence of India’s Trade Minister, Anand Sharma, underlines the global importance of this event. For the 1892 exhibiting companies and some 100,000 professional visitors from all the different continents, BASELWORLD 2011 constitutes the most significant industry rendezvous of the year.
The world’s most important show for the watch and jewellery industry is opening its doors in Basel on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Covering an area of 160,000 m2, BASELWORLD is the biggest exhibition held in Switzerland. With the innovations and trends that are being presented, BASELWORLD will be confirming its topmost position globally as the leading fair for the watch and jewellery industry.
The show will be opened by Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter. For the show management, it is a great honour that India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, Anand Sharma, is coming to Basel especially for the opening of BASELWORLD. This illustrates the standing that the show enjoys throughout the world. Messrs. Burkhalter and Sharma will be accompanied by Christoph Brutschin (Councillor of the Canton of Basel-Stadt), Jacques J.
