Richard Mille enters the Polo world with the Richard Mille Polo Team composed of Prince Bahar from Brunei, Argentinians Pablo Mac Donough, ranked number One in the World Polo Tour in 2010 and Alejandro Muzzio as well as the UK-born Max Routeldge.
The team made its debut at Cowdray Park Polo Club and is now preparing for an intense season ahead which will see the players taking part in some of the most prestigious International high-goal tournaments. In the UK the Richard Mille Team will compete for the The Harcourt Developments Queen’s Cup, at Guards Polo Club, 17th of May to 12th of June, followed by the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup, 21st of June to 17th of July, at Cowdray Park Polo Club. Later in the summer the team will also compete for the Gold, Silver and Bronze cup in Sotogrande, Santa Maria Polo Club, 27th of July to 29th August.
Polo is all about performance, endurance and concentration. Players are tested to their physical limits during each match. This new venture allows Richard Mille further opportunities to challenge technical boundaries and test new solutions.
As with Felipe Massa, Rafael Nadal and Bubba Watson, each player from the Richard Mille Polo Team will wear an RM timepiece whilst competing on the field. A watch especially designed for them: an RM010 limited edition featuring a unique “all black” DLC-treated case and red dial, a black rubber strap complete with DLC-treated buckle which pays homage to the team’s livery colours.
Another timepiece is already being designed. Wait and see!
