New brand Erick J. Exertier has teamed up with Yvan Muller, the WTCC World Champion, for a one-year sponsoring agreement that will see a limited series of the brand’s Aracno collection produced in collaboration with the driver for next year.
While the passion for watches gave birth to the brand in 2011, it was another passion that drove the owners of EJE Watches to move to the next level. Aficionados of car racing and rallies, they wanted to associate the EJE name to a well-known sports figure, someone who shared their same values and thus could confirm their slogan of “Watches in Motion.”

Yvan Muller, World Champion in 2008, 2010, and 2011, and in the lead for the 2012 title based on the first trials, is also delighted with this new partnership. “In my opinion, there is a parallel between high technology watchmaking and the automobile. Since I am also a fan of fine engineering, I must admit that I have a great weakness for fine, sleek, and sophisticated watches. When I learned about EJE Watches, I became very excited about being able to actively participate in the creation of a special model. It was the same excitement that a driver feels when participating in the development of a race car, which leads to its success... I see this as an additional challenge for 2012!” says Yvan Muller.
“Creating a watch is not a trivial affair, and I hope I can bring a personal and ‘successful’ touch to EJE Watches for this original model. I am happy to wear the colours of this young and dynamic enterprise, and to share this watch expertise from the inside,” he adds.
The Aracno model by Erick J. Exertier has an imposing 45mm case that is carved from a single block of stainless steel and can be personalised according to the customer’s wishes.
