GUESS Watches has launched a global search among fashion savvy bloggers to find an official contributor for its GUESS Access Blog, which is a part of the brand’s interactive website. The blog offers a platform for the consumer to share their views with readers from around the world and the campaign launched by GUESS Watches this week, entitled “The One to Watch – Global Blogger Search”, is what will discover these blogging brand ambassadors.
The campaign takes the form of an application on the GUESS Watches Facebook page, which is currently the largest global watch brand page on Facebook with over 1.2 million fans. In order to enter, users from around the world have to create personal profiles that include a custom-built style board to express their personal fashion point-of-view.
They then need to share their profiles through their social networks in order to build up so-called “style points” from their friends and followers over a period of 90 days. The top ten candidates from each country will then be invited to submit a blogging assignment, which will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Two finalists will then be chosen to represent each participating country. Each finalist will receive worldwide recognition and GUESS Watch product throughout the year.
“This is a great opportunity for our brand to be able to partner with young bloggers from around the world and let their voices be heard on a global platform. We will be able to showcase their talent on the GUESS Access Blog and inspire others to be a part of the GUESS Watches lifestyle,” says Cindy Livingston, President and CEO of Sequel AG.
The search started this week and the finalists will be announced in September. In addition to offering digitally and social-media savvy writers the chance of global exposure, the campaign is also an excellent and relatively cost-effective means for GUESS Watches to further expand its already strong presence in social media.
