At Baselworld there is an amazing number of fashionable new watches and Danish Design also proudly adds new models to complete the already impressive line-up. But these new models do not signal a new design philosophy, they illustrate the power of the original Danish Design. Talented Scandinavian designers develop the watches of the Danish Design collection and guard the original position of this global brand.
The new Q1007-series are a perfect illustration of all the good things Danish design stands for. The watches feature titanium cases with bezels of high-tech ceramics and mineral glass. The result is a light, skinfriendly watch, fitted with a calf leather strap or a bracelet made from titanium and ceramics. The quartz movement is controlled by a radio signal from the atomic clock in Frankfurt for perfect accuracy. The watch shows hours, minutes, seconds and date; it is water resistant to 5 ATM.
The Q1030-series offer watches that combine modesty with classic style. The watches are available for men (39mm diameter) and women (31mm) in a new, elegant slim-line look. The luxury watch is available in four different versions; all feature a steel case, ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal glass. The watch shows hours and minutes and (at 6 o’clock) the date. All models are fitted with a strap of calf leather. They are water resistant to 3 ATM.
And then there is the Q986, an instant classic. The design brings together the best of the Fabulous Fifties with the exclusive style only Scandinavian designers really master. The watch combines a steel case with a comfortable and great-looking Milanaise (mesh) bracelet of braided steel. The very Scandinavian looking watch is available for men (38mm) and women (30mm). The large model also has date indication. Both models are water resistant to 3 ATM.
