To encourage the development of such retail personnel, the Certified Watch Coordinator (CWC) examination was started in January 2012 by the Japan Watch Importers’ Association (JWIA).
After three examinations, 1069 examinees have now successfully met the required standards.

The Japan Watch Importers’ Association (Chairman: Susumu Kotani) has held the CWC examination each year since 2012.
478 candidates sat the third examination held earlier this year, and 322 were successful.
