The accessible Swiss watchmaker has introduced a new horological trio of diving watches that makes a bold, black statement.
What better way to end the week than with a few solid choices of timepieces for the weekend warriors among us. Victorinox has recently launched its Maverick Black line of timepieces, and like others from the Maverick collection, they offer a good blend of elegance, function, and affordability.
The extra that these quartz diving watches bring to the table however, can be found in their imposing new look in all black.
First up is the smallest among the three timepieces, called the Small Black Edition. Retailing for around $550 USD, it is packaged in a relatively small 34mm case – intended for the ladies market or for the gents looking for a more vintage sized timepiece. The watch features a date display at 6 o’clock and the usual cross and shield emblem across the dial.
The Large Black Edition is precisely that – a bold black themed watch packaged in a 43 mm beveled case. The stainless steel case with black PVD treatment gives it a cool, contemporary demeanor. It too retails for $500 USD, making size the only difference from its sister timepiece.
The trio is rounded off with the Chronograph Black Edition. It is also packaged in the same 43 mm beveled case in stainless steel with black PVD coating. The added functionality of a chronograph sees the price rise up to $695 USD for this model.
Sporty and leisure activities on the weekend aside, the Maverick Black watches won’t be out of their element at the office or for an evening out either. In fact, they have been such a hit that they are already out of stock – at the time of writing at least - on the Swiss Army website. Might be worth to add the Maverick Black to your “wish list” already.
