The luxury house embraces the crazy side of life with seven new mischievous jewellery figurines.

Every time there is a new release from the Maison de Grisogono, you can rest assured that it will be full of bling and flash. That applies equally for its jewellery as it does for its luxury timepieces.

And this time around it’s no different. The Swiss brand has just added seven new characters to its Crazymals jewellery line, which first kicked off in 2009 with the likes of Super Pig, Cool Bear, Funky Monkey and KissMe Frog.

The names of the series suggests what these fun-loving characters are all about, one part crazy one part animal. There is another obvious part, however, and that’s luxury.

Indeed, the seven new supporting characters in the Crazymals line are set with a combined 1001 stones, whose details demonstrate the brand’s mastery of complex jewellery techniques.

They are Lady Flamingo, Crooner Snake, Great Ladybug, Stogie K, Tux’Penguin, Hip Hop Panda and Buddy. Each retro-inspired piece – which can be worn as either a ring or as a pendant - draws on some element of 1950s Hollywood. And each one embodies some unique personality traits, no doubt to also help make a deeper connection with customers.

The ladies have plenty to choose from, like the “Great Ladybug” inspired by Hollywood legend Katharine Hepburn. Meant to symbolize ambition and a strong character, the ring option is made of 18k white gold set with 33 white diamonds, 249 black diamonds, and 280 red sapphires.

And with Crazymals, there is even something for the men too! The “Hip Hop Panda” is one of those, sporting a blue sapphire cap and a hipster beard. All that bravado is backed up by some serious weight, including 257 white diamonds, 128 black diamonds, 68 blue sapphires, and topped off with an onyx nose.
