Love. Courage. Power. Strength. The Italian fashion house conveys positivity on the straps of the 18 versions of the winter edition of the V-Circle men’s and ladies’ watches.
Versace is today one of the most recognizable luxury fashion houses around. and just like in the world of fashion, its recent series of timepieces is also looking to make a statement in the watch world, building on a strong reputation since the Milanese brand was first set up in 1978.
As with many fashion brands dipping their toes into watchmaking, Versace’s timepiece offerings usually reflect what is happening with its haute couture collections. For this winter, the Italian brand’s catwalk collection is all about messages of positivity, with themes of Love, Courage, Power, and Strength taking a central stage.
Those same messaged can be found on the timepieces of the V-Circle - The Manifesto Edition. Consisting of 18 versions, the line is defined by bold macro letters that stand out on the strap and remind the wearer to stay positive in some shape or form. The statements of affirmation also augment the standard timepiece and infuse it with a bit more energy.
The watches are paired with charming leather straps that convey the messages, and boast contrasting or textured finishing that are always embellished with a Greek motif.
Alternatively, the watches can be paired with a mesh bracelet - which does not have any wording on it – to give the watch a cleaner and more retro look.
The line consists of either stainless steel or gold plated versions that come in two sizes. The 38 mm edition - intended for the ladies - sports an intertwined V pattern on the dial and the recognizable Medusa and logo at 12 o’clock. It is powered by the Ronda 762.2 quartz movement, which is what you might expect from a fashion watch that is priced in the mid triple-digit range.
The 42 mm diameter case is aimed at the gents. The larger dial also accommodates a small seconds sub-dial, thanks to the Ronda 6004D movement. The dial comes in either a black or ivory option with a contrasting counter ring on the outer part of the dial. Again we see the Medusa and logo at 12 o’clock and réhaut Greek key embellishments.
With these additions to the V-Circle - The Manifesto Edition, the Italian brand has continued to rely on its name and famous logo, making the watches immediately recognizable. Once again, the medusa symbol adds to the flamboyant style of the watches, and the nice mix of textures and colours help the watches stand out from the crowd.
