Once upon a time... These time-honoured words have seldom seemed more appropriate than when telling the story of love uniting H.R.H. Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy, heir to the Italian throne and the young French actress Clotilde Courau, whose marriage is to be celebrated on the 25th of September, in Rome, at the Church of St Mary of Angels and of Martyrs.

However, prior to this, whilst he was still courting his princess to be, it was to his friend Fawaz Gruosi that the Prince gave the delicate assignment of conceiving a ring worthy of his love.

From Fawaz Gruosi's legendary and fertile mind a magnificent and supple piece of jewellery was born, set with one superb ruby surrounded by 14 white diamond hearts. A creation both refined and unique, bearing the de Grisogono signature. After having surrendered to the charm of his future bride, H.R.H. prince Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy, chose to give her a festoon of precious stones as tribute to their love.
