<i>There is a new address on Main Street in Gibraltar. Dedicated to bringing luxury branded jewelry, watches and accessories to the British peninsula, the new boutique Regency has recently opened its doors to the public.</i>



At the end of July 2002, the investment group Regency Trading Corporation Ltd. was able to take over the premises at 94 Main Street in Gibraltar, the primary shopping area on the peninsula. The main objective was to create a shop with its own style that would combine various luxury brands under one roof. To achieve this ambitious goal, the investment group contacted the Swiss based shop-fitting enterprise Obrist-Interior AG, best known for its planning and execution of high-end retail stores.
Within two months, Obrist-Interior AG developed a shop interior concept that pays tribute to the quality and distinctiveness of the well-known brands represented, basically creating a corpor-ate architecture for Regency. Only four months later, the new jewel on Main Street welcomed its first customers in a luxurious setting. In co-operation with the well-known local architect, Patrick Gomez, Obrist-Interior AG developed a storefront that reflects the name Regency as well as the interior design of the shop. Blue awnings evoke the corporate identity of the company and provide shade for those taking a closer look at the window display.
The interior of the shop opens up to an elegant curved flight of stairs. Exquisite materials, such as Elsbeer veneer, nickel chrome and marble, create a distinctive atmosphere. Each brand has its own wall section, separated by white columns. Spacious wall displays, lined with soft creme-colored leather, showcase the precious jewelry, watches and accessories.
The far end of the shop opens into a circular room, dedicated to products of the famous Bulgari. Here are displayed watches, jewelry, silks, perfume and leather goods. This section is kept in simple white, enriched by a domed ceiling and a circular wooden floor.
Beyond the circular room is the privacy room. Here customers can relax and try on the exquisite pieces in calm tranquility. With such renowned jewelry and watch brands as Bulgari, Baume & Mercier, Mikimoto, Roberto Coin, Breguet, Girard-Perregaux, TechnoMarine and Hermès among others, Regency is setting a new standard for Gibraltar's Main Street.
