The latest innovation for fashion for the cold season is colour. The fact is that even in winter it's possible, indeed compulsory, to go all daring with the brightest tonalities. All the designers and opinion leaders appear to be agreed about this. So there's nothing odd about the fact that the trend is making headway in jewellery too. Now classics are being proposed out of season. Turquoise, for example. On account of its bright colour the stone has always been said to go well with a tan. But who said it can't go well with a pale complexion too? The moment has come to give it a try, especially since turquoise has appeared on runways a lot recently matched with classic winter brown - and experts swear it's going to be even more popular next year. Hence the boom of jewellery with turquoises, stones that are currently bombarding a market as important as that of the United States. Jewel designers are proposing them in necklaces and bracelets made up of rough, uncut nuggets (remember that the dark veins and blue spots are perfectly natural, as is the colour change from bright blue to green). Or polished and accompanied by brilliants and sometimes mounted in yellow or rose gold. Otherwise, the alternative is a turquoise-coloured enamel bijou.
