Between 13th and 17th September IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, will stage a special edition that confirms the close links between the jewellery industry and the world of fashion and design.
IBERJOYA, a fair that has always conveyed an image of the industry associated with a sense of creativity and dynamism deriving from the latest and most innovative trends, will now form part of a new promotional project entitled “MADRID VIVE LA MODA”. This initiative, headed by IFEMA and the four institutions that make up the organization - the Madrid Regional Government, Madrid City Council, the Madrid Chamber of Trade and Industry and Madrid Savings and Loan - mainly aims is to highlight Madrid's image as an international business centre for the fashion world, whilst involving the region in events relating to this industry that take place in Madrid throughout the year and helping to encourage demand within the respective sectors by highlighting the purchasing appeal of the region's rich and heterogeneous shopping set-up.
The project will involve the organization of a variety of different events and activities, all based on the shared concept of fashion or similar ideas such as design, avant-garde appeal and innovation. In the case of IBERJOYA the organizers plan to stage a jewellery fashion parade in collaboration with the Madrid Jewellers and Silversmiths' Guild on 14th September, whilst also presenting a series of jewellery fashion showcases within the framework of Pasarela Cibeles. These showcases will exhibit a carefully chosen selection of jewellery and watch items from among all those on show at the fair. The criteria for this selection will be quality, originality, elaboration and innovation.
