Ayko's elegant inventiveness

September 2002

Ayko captures the brightness of a midsummer's starry night with diamonds, held eternally in the powerful embrace of the purest of steel. Precision crafting and innovation by this small Swiss company from Ticino, have thrown open the parameters of luxury, marrying the hardness of diamonds to the resistance of steel. Levon Kalfayan, alias Ayko specializes in three setting techniques, sertis-clos, (diamonds set just below the surface), pavÉ and tension for its choice of the highest quality brilliant or marquise cut diamonds. Occasionally, Ayko adds color with natural soft pink or blue diamonds set in steel for a dramatic effect. Ayko chooses only the whitest steel for rings with three different surface finishes, polished, satin or grooved. A perfect blend of precision and purity, ennoblement and originality, the unusual world of Ayko is luxury's avant-garde.
