Franck Muller enjoys excellent 2002 results and 2003 prospects

While important luxury watch groups such as the Swatch Group and Richemont publish declining figures for their 2002 and half 2003 results, Franck Muller Watchland on the contrary enjoys an excellent progression, reports the company's latest media release.

Franck Muller Watchland does not wish to publish its 2002 turnover, however in comparison to 2001 the increase in turnover is of + 54,05% with 48'678 watches sold (35'770 in 2001, which represents a + 36,09% increase in quantity), and an overall + 67,57% in the net profit.

Franck Muller Watchland thus surpasses its most optimistic prospects, even compared to recent years which were already showing rising figures.

It may be that part of this success is due to the constant efforts of visibility made by the brand: flagship stores and new sales corners are opening worldwide, not to mention the brand's immediate response to consumers' requirements. Consequently men's watches featuring great complications and women's watches set with diamonds are trends to which Franck Muller products respond to promptly.

The launches of brands Pierre Kunz and the European Company Watch (ECW) have also been a success, contributing to the group's very good results.

Half-year 2003
The increase in turnover compared to the same 2002 period represents a + 15,54%, while the increase in net profit is of + 19, 27%.

Despite strong inhibiting factors such as the SARS outbreak and a global economic slowdown, Franck Muller Watchland reports satisfactory figures for the first half year 2003. The launches of new models Tourbillon RÉvolution 2, Crazy Hours and of the Jewelry line is a sales support on the main markets where the brand is present.

Finally, according to processed orders, Franck Muller Watchland foresees at least a 20% growth for the year 2003.
