TAG Heuer to open first U.S. boutique

TAG Heuer is planning to open its first US boutique in March. The boutique, designed by Gwenael Nicholas, the award winning, Tokyo based French architect (responsible for the Issey Miyake boutique in New York), will be located in SoHo. The store will stock a full range of TAG Heuer watches including the TAG Heuer Classics and Jewelry Collection for women.

The retail space is a combination of three main elements that will be implemented in different stores around the world: a large, curved walnut wall, transparent monolith displays and an opaque black glass wall. All of these design elements, according to the company, are a direct reflection of TAG Heuer style. The watch displays themselves are integrated into the architecture of the store and the overall minimalist image and the different spaces is designed to ensure that attention is focused on the watches.

New York is one of three locations around the world where TAG Heuer will launch the new boutique design, with other flagship stores in Tokyo and London.
