Consumers still buying jewelry

A survey conducted by MVI Marketing found a majority of U.S. consumers plan to continue spending money on fine jewelry. About 91% said that they would celebrate the winter holidays with gifts of jewelry. Specifically, 76% of consumers said they would buy fine jewelry or watches; 19% said they would buy costume jewelry.
Forty-one percent of those surveyed felt it was even more important now to celebrate life and buy gifts for loved ones. MVI's Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council conducted the survey, which consists of 20,000 consumers.
