With the new Hamilton RailRoad line, the American brand has created a skilful reinterpretation of a pocket-watch classic that was successful at the end of the 19th century. Earning the brand the title of maker of the “Watch of Railroad Accuracy”, it revolutionized the era of train travel. A combination of past, present and future, this line comes in three sizes - 38, 44 and 46 mm - and symbolically frees itself from its chains to become more comfortable on the wrist. A rail-inspired tachometer dominates the centre of the dial on the 46 mm Hamilton RailRoad model, a chronograph powered by a brand new Swiss-made automatic Valgranges A07-211 movement, which Hamilton has been the first to use. The model comes in four distinct versions, with a case in steel, or black PVD-treated steel, or pink gold with matching appliques on a black or silvered dial.
