The Le Locle-based machine tool manufacturer, Emissa, has been active in the watch industry for over 40 years and is renowned for its specialized machines for the plate machining. Its latest major innovation is a machine capable of boring bar-holes in watch horns from a perpendicular angle. The drill head of the Magic Tool 100 is so highly miniaturized that it can be inserted between the horns and still have enough space to perform the drilling operation. This three- or four-axis NC machine can also be used for turning operations.
