In its Moon Phase version, the COLOSEO reveals all its class and functionality: the weeks of the year arranged on the dial rim according to the circle of months indicated on the flange can be read elegantly with a crescent-tipped hand, in the opposite direction from the time which is clocked by sword-shaped hour and minute hands. The middle of the dial is balanced by the date indication at 3 o’clock and the days of the week at 9 o’clock in two counters which are reminiscent of railway time switches. The choice location at 6 o’clock is therefore given over entirely to indicating the moon phases through a delicately-worked aperture.
