The initials DS – standing for Double Security – inseparably associated with the Certina brand since 1960, have contributed to its international renown and continue to form the basis of its new creations. The DS1 Automatique is clearly heir to this noble tradition. The 39 mm case is highlighted by the remarkable contrasts between polished and brushed surfaces creating a retro chic effect. The textured central disc gives the dial a sporty, modern look, while a large slightly bevelled chapter ring is graced with Roman numerals in a more classic spirit. A beautifully balanced creation cleverly combining vintage touches with a contemporary expression.
