Peter Speake-Marin, founder of the eponymous brand, invites admirers of fine mechanical watchmaking of the past to travel through time with his Resilience watch. The story begins early in his career, when he restored antique pocket watches in Piccadilly, London. Many were over a hundred years old yet were as beautiful as the day they were made, thanks to their enamel dial. Resilience: the perfect name to capture the magic of grand feu enamel and its innate ability to stand the test of time. The dial comes to life after being fired six times at more than 800°C, using the same techniques that have been employed in watchmaking for centuries. The iconic Piccadilly case, another nod to the watchmaker’s formative years, has slimmed its design thanks to the new Eros 2 calibre that beats inside.
