Peter Speake-Marin travels back in time to propose an elegant rendition of his very first calendar watch. The classic features that have made this model one of the best-loved in the brand’s collections have been preserved, particularly those details inspired by vintage-era pocket watches. This includes the use of curved hands to easily distinguish the date indication from the hours and minutes. Meanwhile, the design of the dial, case and hands of the Serpent Calendar has been subtly reworked to introduce a more contemporary feel. Proposed as two diameters, in steel or in titanium, the Serpent Calendar is worthy of its place alongside the brand’s other creations as it marries English aesthetic refinement with the mechanical excellence of a movement rooted in Swiss expertise.
