Combining the discipline of the Louis XIV style with Louis XV grace, this French Regency mantel clock from Azura is entirely decorated with tortoise shell. Its curved lines testify to the quality of the craftsmanship which, in turn, explains why only two or three such designs were turned out by the craftsmen of the time (1715 - 1723). (AZURA)
