European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1987 BF 206
In homage to the Eiffel Tower’s hundredth anniversary, in 1989, Vincent Calabrese, a founding member of the Horological Academy of Independent Creators, designed this striking wristwatch incorporating a technical development on which he holds a patent : a stem-less winding system acting directly on the barrel-arbor, making its in-line mechanical movement seem suspended in mid-air. Bridges are in goldplated brass, in 18K gold or in platinum. The gold or platinum frame of its water-resistant case holds two sapphire crystals. Both the movement and the case are made entirely by hand by the designer. (VINCENT CALABRESE, Lausanne - Switzerland)
