European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1989 BF 148
This watch features a dial cut from one of the world’s best-known meteorites, the “Cape York”, discovered in Greenland by U.S. explorer R.E. Peary, the first to reach the North Pole. The meteorite fragment owned by Corum will yield only 900 dials earmarked for as many wristwatches, each individually numbered, each absolutely exclusive. Quartz or mechanical movement with date calendar and moon-phase indicator. The geographical coordinates of the meteorite’s point of impact are engraved on the back of the water-resistant case. The case is crafted in platinum, a metal that complements to perfection the colours of the meteorite dial. (CORUM “Peary Meteorite”)
