The movement is protected by a twin shock-protection system and an all-steel case - with screwed-down crown - waterresistant to a depth of 200 metres. The “glass is actually an absolutely scratchproof sapphire crystal. For rate accuracy, this model incorporates a”high frequency" movement (28,800 v.ph0). A new Certina design in the 288 series.
